Classroom News:
Hello! Your child should of brought home a special homework assignment to help us get ready to make a flag to carry in our Triathlon Opening Ceremony and activities on Nov 29. Our class will be representing Antarctica. Please encourage your child to research Antarctica and select an animal that lives there or in the oceans surrounding Antarctica to make out of felt. We want to make sure there is room on our flag for everyone's animal so please do not let your child make an animal bigger than 4X5 inches in size. We need your child's animal turned in by Monday Nov 26 so we have time to complete our class flag. Thanks!
Our Holidays Around the World event will be focused on learning about winter holidays in India and Philippines with our 5th grade big buddy class from 8:40-9:40 am on Dec 19. The older children will partner up with our first graders and help them complete a project for the countries we will be learning about.
I would like to host a winter holiday party for our class on Dec 20 (Thurs) 1:35-3:15. If you would like to help set up/clean up and supervise fun activities for the kids; please click HERE to sign up. We also will need donations for our party. If you can donate something by Dec 19 please click above. Thanks for your help!
Your children may wear their cozy PJs to school on Dec 20 (Thur) if they wish.
I will be sending home a Family Traditions Homework Packet for your chid to complete with your help on Nov 26 in his/her blue folder. Please plan to help your child be ready to present in front of our class about one family tradition your family celebrates together on their assigned date, which will be in the Nov 26 homework packet. The children are more than welcome to create a poster to go along with their presentation (with pictures) or bring in a visual aide to share with the class along with their report which they should write and practice presenting at home. The homework packet should answer most of your questions on Nov 26; if not please let me know.
