Here's a fun idea to teach your child how to develop strong money management skills & money math - Label Three Jars: Spend, Save, Share (donate) then have your child place a portion of money he/she earns or gets in each jar to learn how to manage money. Help your child set a goal for each jar: spend (i.e. money child can spend now on a item wanted for self), save (i.e. when full deposit into a minor's savings bank account for child), share (i.e. when full child buys a dog collar or bed to donate to an animal shelter, book or toy to donate to a child's charity, can food for a homeless shelter, money to give to a church or school, etc.)
