Classroom News:
In October, our school will be launching a series of school wide anti bullying lessons, children will discuss/role model different behaviors each week at our morning meetings, we will be attending a Ned Show Assembly on Oct 12 (anti bullying) and continue to read books to the children about being friends not bullies throughout the school year. I have already spent a lot of time reading the "No Bullying Allowed" series written by Teddy Slater to our class and discussing as a class how teasing makes others feel. Please take some time to discuss with your children how making fun of someone's hair, clothes, shoes, or glasses makes other children feel at home this week.
A special thanks to all of you who volunteered to help out this week with our field trip, long ago recess games & centers, guided reading rotations, preparing materials at home, and chili cook off! We couldn't enjoy all these fun activities without your help. Thanks for enriching our school and making learning fun!
Click here to go to our classroom Shutterfly site to view pictures of our class at Sutter's Fort, playing recess games from long ago, and enjoying some long ago learning centers.
Please check your child's blue folder or backpack for their progress reports. Please sign one copy and return it to me. Keep the other copy for your records. Thanks!

Walk from home, park your car and walk from at least 3 blocks away, or better yet, join the Walking School Bus group, starting from Burberry Park. To have more time for breakfast and dance party, the group meets at 7:30 and leaves at 7:45. If your student doesn’t have a Trip Scanner card, sign up for one in the office.

Please watch the video on our school website to learn about NED’s Mindset Mission, and consider a few ways that your students could benefit from NED's positive messages.
