Classroom News:
I have started trimester one assessments this week and will continue through October 26. I will be giving you students several one on one assessments such as sight words, decoding words, counting by ones, twos, fives, and tens to 120, running record reading test (fluency & comprehension), writing a personal narrative about an event in your child's life and whole class assessments on math fact fluency, math chapter review, American symbols,100% spelling words, and spelling patterns. On October 22, I will have a sub teacher take care of the class while I meet with students for one-on-one for reading tests. You can help your child do his/her best by ensuring he/she gets enough rest, eats a healthy breakfast each day and giving him/her encouragement.
A big thanks to Kimberly's mom Elena for helping to put together our class Fall Basket for Oct 20! If you would like to donate anything for our Thanksgiving theme basket please send it to school with your child by this Wednesday. Thanks!
