Classroom News:
Hello First Grade Families,
Our class will be taking part in the nation wide kindness challenge next week Jan 28-Feb 1. Please be sure to ask your child how they showed an act of kindness to someone each day at school and home.
Our school plans to have a earthquake safety drill on Jan 30. This is a good time to discuss your family emergency plans with your child. I will be reading a children's book about earthquake safety to the class next week to help prepare them for the drill. Basically, I will teach them to stay calm, drop, cover, and hold on.
I am planning some fun friendship learning centers for the children to enjoy on Valentine's Day. If you would like to donate supplies or volunteer to help guide the children during a center activity please
click here to go to our volunteer link to sign up. Thanks!
Children may bring either a homemade or store brought friendship note for each of their classmates on Feb 14. Please click on the "More" tab at the top this page for a copy of our class list.
